I'm also repeatedly experiencing recordings (from my HD-PVR) that are resulting in a .ts file that will not play in VLC or NPVR, but will play in Windows Media Center. Usually these recordings are ones that adjoin another recording on the HD-PVR (either immediately prior to, or immediately after).
Here's the applicable snip from an example in the NRecord log:
What's happening here:
the recording of Gold Rush Alaska_20110121_21002200.ts was finishing up (this is the problem file) and then Gold Rush Alaska_20110121_22002300.ts starts recording, and finishes an hour later. The file ending at 23:00 works as expected but the file ending at 22:00 is the one that will not play back in NPVR or VLC, just WMP.
I don't have any logic in my system to disconnect/reconnect the HD-PVR. Help?
