Oh, and I also have a vapour-ware idea for a Pictures+ plugin that would work with both photos (and display their exif data) and videos together. This is because I keep short movies from my camera together with pictures taken at the same time (eg all holiday pics+vids in one place), and it's a pain jumping between the Pictures and Videos screens to look at everything.

I store my pics/vids the same way as you do - I'd be interested in this...

I don't currently store my pics/vids like this, most probably because I don't have a way of playing them together! So I too would be very interested in this......

Videos+ has all but stalled because it's too big a job just now, and scb147 who was working on it too is retiring from the world of HTPCs. System needs various bugs fixed, and a possible move to the new (hidden) menu way of working. TimeSharer needs properly tested with my dual DVB-T/DVB-S setup to see if it works there, then released. SubMenu needs a vertical menu, but I'm not even sure if it's worth the effort. Fixed it for 2.0.3 and about 3 people have downloaded it (Rolleyes). ReClockOrNot is a hack to a problem I wish didn't exist, and Microsoft can go jump off a bridge too for creating Windows in such a rubbish way that we even needs stuff like the yet unwritten AutoRefresh (which might not even work).

That probably all sounded very negative, but I do genuinly enjoy doing this stuff. I even fixed my radiator Big Grin

Iain

Good job on the radiator!

Whatever you get round to doing is great for me (from a purely selfish perspective!)

Videos+ - Always really thought this was a great concept but guess very labour intensive? I would use it Big Grin And with the solid functionality of NextPVR a bit of 'eye candy' on top is something I really like!
System - Currently using it with NextPVR 1.5.36 on current server
Sub Menu - as System above (in fact the 2 above have stopped me from moving to NextPVR 2.0.3 as I read about issues? At the stage the vertical menu is at the moment (had a brief look) is it worth supporting this yet? I haven't downloaded new Sub-menu yet as waiting to complete new server build 1st.
Time Sharer - am sure I would be using it if I was using NextPVR as total solution (still in dying throes of GB-PVR usage) to get around the not broadcasting channels.
ReClockOrNot - Didn't even know about this issue until I saw the plugin the other day Big Grin

whatever imilne finds time to do will be used over at Chez Steeb

In its current form, the work sub and Hairy have done means that the eye candy is already of very high quality. I can't post a screenshot just now, but if you take a folder of movies (with posters) and display them in the icon view (the one that fills the entire screen and scrolls from left to right) it looks fantastic.

Both should be fine with 2.0.3. System has one or two things I need to fix in it, but nothing that wasn't broken in earlier versions either Smile

If/when I get around to it, I was hoping to try and make it look a bit better than the built-in one, or at least make it work like the GBPVR one, which is just a vertical implementation of NPVR's horizontal one. The current NPVR vertical one is more like a list control and doesn't give you any indication of what's coming up next once the highlight reaches the edges. I prefer the highlight staying centred.
