I just installed the new version of NPVR and I was looking at the web interface. Am I missing something? It doesn't appear that there are any streaming options available. I don't have any button that says "stream" like there was with the version of EWA that came with older versions of GB-PVR. Am I just blind? Where can I find streaming options, where you can change the settings for bitrate, encoder codec, etc? Sorry if this is already addressed somewhere. The Wiki doesn't appear to have any recent information on this and I used the site's search function but I couldn't find anything. Thanks!!

nevermind, I think I figured it out. I manually uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled it.

EDIT: Umm... nevermind... I was confused. I was connected to my server running GB-PVR 1.4.7 and I didn't realize it. So that's why I saw the streaming options. I still don't have them on my new install on this machine. Sorry for the confusion. Help will still be appreciated.

Did you try the wiki? http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...EWA#stream ? If you have vlc installed non-default set the location via the config tab.

I did indeed check the wiki. Thanks to your post, I was able to figure out my problem, despite the wiki being vague and full of useless/false information. The wiki states simply, "if you use the default install settings you do not need to change anything in the web configuration tab of EWA."

Foolishly, I believed this statement and I did not check the path to VLC in the config tab, since I know I had installed VLC to its default path. However, the wiki fails to mention that the default path for VLC is different if it is installed on a 64-bit version of Windows, and furthermore that EWA will fail to make this same distinction. This is the reason it wasn't working. The config tab displayed an incorrect path to VLC, despite me installing VLC to its default location.

I recommend this be clarified in the wiki. I tried to log into the wiki to change it myself with my username and password for this forum but it wouldn't work. The default path in the 64-bit version of Windows 7 is C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC.

Long story short, streaming works now, and the wiki needs to be changed to include instructions for people with 64-bit machines.
