Cable lineup changed for Clear QAM, and I rescanned and reloaded EPG data to fix issue.

In NEWA, no TV listings appear, but they appear fine in npvr native after EPG reload.

If I search NEWA for an episode, it finds it -- so it somehow sees the data, but is not displaying it in the TV listings. Do I need to delete my recurring recordings that have been there from before the rescan? Is that what is messing up NEWA? Any help to quickly fix this issue, greatly appreciated. Frustrating.

Did you try restarting the Recording Service?

See the 2nd post in this thread...sounds like the same issue.....really not a NEWA issue as the guide data is provided via the NPVR API......

Hello Martin. Yes...restarted the service...to no effect. Rebooted server to to be double sure. npvr seems happy...just not EWA. Reloaded EPG about 3 more times....still no data in TV listings screen.

Emptying the EPG data will require me to rescan then remap (manually) every channel, while editing and checking them along the way. Unless there is another way? This takes a good 2 hours for me. Any other way to try and fix this....since I just went through this process -- and this has led me to this problem. Worst yet, if doing this again doesn't fix it....then what?

Should I delete all my pending and recurring recordings to see if that helps? At least that is much easier to re-enter. If it cannot help....then I wont. Trying to fix this easily, if possible....already the channel rescan was a time burden.

Thanks so much for helping

Emptying the EPG via the button or command line does not lose anything permanent or change your recurring recordings or mapping. However the channels and the recurring recordings are linked, so you really don't want to delete the channels. You should just rescan and then link the channel back to the newly scanned frequencies.

For my QAM channels the frequencies move but the SID as shown by the scan stay constant, if the SID's move for you, you definitely will have some real mapping issues. To help me, my Web Radio plugin includes a function that will allow you to scan and view your channels without mapping a lot of useless channels which might help you if the SID's move.

Thanks Martin.....huge help, as always. EPG empty cleaned things up...it is working again...now getting it back together. I will definitely look at your Web Radio plugin to help me get better/faster at this...especially since I will need to do this often.

Again..thanks!

Thanks for your help UJB. Back to normal...Next rescan should be better. Do these cable companies move this stuff on purpose...just to mess with people with no DVRs? I cannot find a single channel in the lineup the is new -- just moved around frequencies.
