I'm a geek wannabe if that counts. I try hard at it but am not 100% successful. I guess I"m a mutant.

Male geek here, but I don't follow why female members wouldn't be geeks. Wouldn't a non-geek have a prefab set-top box?

Based on the way I've seen women (or more likely, overweight 40 year old pervs pretending to be women) received in other geek hangouts, I wouldn't blame actual women for not identifying themselves as such. It can get ugly. This place seems fairly mature and chill, but still.

I'v nothing against geekettes or women in general. Smile I just came to think of the matter after looking at a lot of signatures in here, some say absolutely nothing about it's owner, but most of them hints a male owner. Very few signals a female owner, so I wish we had more of them...
