Is a refurb A110 still my best bet for an extender?

I'd be partial to something else that could either support xbmc directly, or take a plex feed, or some other media jukebox. I'm not adverse to writing something to extract from the npvr database the recordings and putting them in some display format. But first choice would be native nextpvr, then xbmc, then something utilising yamj etc.

I'm quite keen on an ACRyan playon...btw this is for a bedroom, so fanless is a priority, and no internal storage needed.
