This morning, Time Warner cut out all qam channels, leaving us with basic broadcast. Sucks! I'd rather pay for Hulu and Netflix than cable... ok thats it

I thought the FCC makes all cable companies carry at least, the local channels in QAM. I've heard of this happening elsewhere and some have contacted their congressman and it was cleared up quickly.

When you say basic broadcast, what do you mean? My TWC has clear QAM only on the big 4 (thankfully in HD) and all the rest are encrypted. It has been this way for a few years.

yeah i mean they turned everything to encrypted except the basic... might as well just get an antenna and not pay for cable
