Video size in MVPMCX2

Question on video size when playing content on the NMT (not the menus, I know about the config.xml settings) when running MVPMCX2, where is it getting the setting for the video size? I appear to have some overscan when either watching live TV or recorded content, so I have been into the native NMT player and using a DVB HD recording set each zoom mode to just fit the screen (96% for each as it happens), however dropping into MVPMCX2 it appears to still play the video at the 100% zoom setting. It's not actually causing any issues, just a nagging feeling that I'm losing some quality as the image is being stretched

The default video size is whatever the firmware SDK has for 100% and it doesn't use any Syabas custom values and since it is not zoomed or shrunk it is going to technically (not visually) the best quality. Using custom values is something I have considered since I see green stripes in the top "VBI" area on some HDPVR channels , but it hasn't annoyed me enough to move my own priority because I'd probably want some video not to stretch.
