Hi.

May I know how can I create a new list of devices inside settings/devices?

I don't want the current list of devices.
How to make NPVR re-detect everything again?

As I have removed some tuners, shifted some tuners to different slots, added in some new tuners.

Don't wish to see those non present tuners inside the list.
Wish NPVR to re-detect and arrange the tuners properly again.

May I know how to do it?

Mhm, under normal condition NextPVR displays only recognized tuners. Removed device are usually not shown in the settings screen.
Are you sure you're seeing physically and driver-removed tuners?

For testing purposes you could stop npvr (recordingservice too), backup the npvr.db3 (public users folder in vista/7) and replace it by an copy of empty.db3 (rename the copy to npvr.db3). I am not sure if npvr would create a new database on it's own if there's no database present.

I remember I did remove all the drivers with hauppauge hcwclear utility before I shutdown my pc to remove tuners and add in tuners.

But feels like giving up on NPVR! Crashing more often with the extra 2 HVR1700.
Doing the same thing may or may not crash but chance of crashing is higher.
Scan channels, add recording, update recording, cancel recording, etc all have chances of crashing.
Analog recording don't start anymore and so on.

It was quite stable previously.

Sounds not good, but perhaps you should try to find the cause for your instability. Even if you switch to another application you have the risk to experience the same problems, if your situation isn't nextpvr based.

I am using NextPVR in a server/client environment. The server is running a few weeks without rebooting and troubles with npvr. The server is populated with 2x HVR-2200 and 1x TechniSat CableStar HD2. 8 PC's are connected to this NextPVR Server and non of them has any problems with crashing (zapping is currently not working, but this is another story; npvr isn't crashing).

So you really should try to locate the cause of your problems. It could be driverrelated, missing updates, so called "codecpacks". Does the Eventviewer of windows is telling anything interesting? Or the NextPVR logs itself?

Everything seems to be working fine now after reinstalling the Hauppauge SoftPVR components. Thanks for your help!
