They're not here it's much too cold for them to be in Canada over the winter! They certainly are beautiful to see and hear in the spring and fall though.

I was going to say that's something we wouldn't see here in NZ, but strangely I did see turkeys on the side of the road today. Weird...

I was going to say that's something we wouldn't see here in NZ, but strangely I did see turkeys on the side of the road today. Weird...

Maybe they emigrated from around here, a few years ago one of our local (hobby) farmers used to breed them & when he got fed up with it he just let them loose on the neighborhood, we have had turkeys breading in our flowerbeds & all over the place, slowly the numbers have reduced but there are still a few around....

As for the Canadian geese I think a large number of them are also down here this time of year as I seem to remember NZ is one of the places they come to when they migrate for the winter.
