Hello,
I just made the switch to NPVR from GBPVR and have a few questions.
1) Is it normal for my SD recordings from a Haup PVR150 svideo input to be recorded as .ts file instead of .mpg like it was with GBPVR?
2) I have 2 channel groups i added; "favorites" and "subscribed". The channel group reverts back to all channels after watching something. Is there a way to make the group stay till i tell it to change?
3) Previously with GBPVR, if a recording was scheduled and only one tuner had that channel available, it would kick the user out of live tv to record it. Noticed on Sunday that we had something scheduled and it never kicked us out. Only until I exited Live TV did I see the recording start (I can see the IR blaster tell the Sat box to change channels). Is this behavior be changed to make the recording the priority over Live TV?
4) When trying to watch a show recorded using my HDHR (using NPVR), I can skip forward/back during the first few minutes of the recording. Anywhere past that, if I try to skip forward, the screen goes black (or images freezes) and I notice the HDD activity go up dramatically. Eventually it kicks back to the recordings menu after about a minute. I have been able to watch the recordings for a good 30 minutes if I don't try to skip forward so it seems the data is there but maybe it's a timeline issue?. Previous recordings made using GBPVR from the HDHR work fine so I don't believe this is a decoder issue. I don't have any problem with skipping forward/backward on the recordings from the PVR150.
One of the shows in question was "Alcatraz" recorded last night. I recorded it both from the PVR150 (the recording that started on 2012-01-23 19:54:00) and the HDHR (the recording that started on 2012-01-23 19:56:00) just in case the HDHR version was messed up like mentioned above (and it is). I tried watching it today at 17:37 after rebooting the PVR.
Thanks.
