Comskip skip issue

I am having an issue on one of my two clients where the system will freeze after a comskip skip. The system will eventually resume play after a few minutes or if I do a few short skips forwards or backwards. This happens whether it is an auto skip or if I do it manually. I have tried several different decoders, uninstalling and reinstalling NPVR with no luck. This is happens for both analog and digital recordings but doesn't happen with some old analog recording made with GBPVR. I didn't do digital recordings with GBPVR to test that aspect. I do not have this issue on my other client but I do have an issue where the system will occasionaly jump back a few minutes when it reaches the end of the recording.

Something I see over and over in the log file of the machine with the issues is "GetEventCode() returned: 0x8104". I don't see this message on the machine that works. I am not sure if that is a clue.

In case anyone else runs into this problem, I changed my renderer from EVR to VMR9 and that appears to have solved the issue. I am not sure why I didn't try that before.
