For two days now I haven''t been able to delete any recordings. I get an unhandled exception error which looks firewall related, but I don't run a firewall and Windows one is disabled. The only recent change is the installation of the YouTube plugin but I don't think this is the cause as the issue remains after disabling that plugin. I've restarted the NPVR services and computer but this has helped. New shows are being recorded fine, the only issue seems to be deleting. Any ideas what would cause this?

Logs attached.

Can you reproduce the problem, then post the npvr.log? ie, the one file that was missing from your zip

I had a quick look through the backup .1/.2/.3 log files in your zip, but I couldn't see attampted deletes.

What does the unhandled exception message say? It might not be showing in the log.

Thanks for your help.
I've tried to delete Antiques Roadshow at 6.45am this morning. NPVR.LOG and exception details attached.

It looks like either your recording service isn't running, or you have some firewall/antivirus software that is getting in the way of communication between the frontend and the recording service.

I know it looks that way, but the recording service is definitely running and new shows are being recorded successfully. This is what's confusing me! I'll uninstall my AV software tonight (I don't use a firewall on my media pc). You don't think any of the plug-in's would be affecting the ability to delete recordings?

No - it definitely looks like either the recording service isnt running, or something getting in the way of communication.

All working now - thanks for your help.

The Windows Firewall was showing as disabled in Control Panel but once I disabled the service I can now delete again. No idea why this just started happening!
