Channels scanned but screen stays black, no image

I have successfully installed NPVR over Windows XP and got my Angel TV tuner detected with Canada channels scanned and apparently correctly listed. Now when I select any of them, the NPVR screen stays black. Could you help me ?

Might be a decoders issue. Best thing would be to zip and atach your logs.

Have you installed vcredist_x86 from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/det...g=en&id=29 although lack of this would cause Live Tv to hang as well as black screen.

Thanks Petrovski for the advice about vcredist_x86. So I have just installed it. Now the launching of NPVR and selection of "Live TV" option gives the same result though ; a black screen with channel number displayed in title bar of the window... McBainUK was thinking in the direction of a decoder issue. Could you tell me which logs you would need to review and where I am supposed to find them ?

be sure you have selected a temp directory that actually exists for your live tv buffer

Thanks. The Live TV temporary directory does exist all right.

So here attached are the logs I found in the indicated Default Data directory.
