DVB EPG update

With npvr set to update DVB EPG during live TV, will it update the EPG if I'm not watching any live TV? I only ask because I've had a very few instances when I've started npvr and the EPG has only been partially populated, and it struck me that actually we mostly watch recorded shows these days and this may have been a possible cause. In a worse case scenario, if I went on holiday for two weeks would I miss all EPG updates, and thus all future scheduled recordings?

Yes, it still does the normal automated epg update overnight.

some users have reported their epg not being complete, and they had to turn off the 'out of process digital recording' option to get it to complete.
