Search EPG always fails?

It's possible I'm not using it correctly but the "Search" function always comes up empty for me. I'm not sure why you have to specify start and end times and dates but it regardless of what I put in there it never seems to find anything?

I have looked at this before. As far as I can tell, it's a bug relating to the XBMC handling of the channel groups that is causing the search results not to be found.
