Can't get timeshifting to work ?

I have updated NEWA to latest version. Also I have set it to timeshift in X-NEWA settings .

I can pause the channel and then play from that point.

If I try to reward or do the 7 second skip back the timeshift bar goes back but when I press play it just goes straight back to where it was

First which version of XBMC and which OS? Performance varies greatly it is definitely best on Windows clients. Also skipping won't work with the arrow keys because XBMC is terrible handling growing files. Personally I've found mousing on the time bar is best, I use a tiny wireless keyboard with a mouse pad. Also it sounds like you are skipping when paused I've never had to hit play I just skip while it plays.
