Steeb for posterity it's been the on the wiki for a long time. http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Client.MVP I did my part, but it seems no one else has.

Nice Martin,

prob is you are always at least one step ahead of me (actually about 14)

I never bothered with that page as I thought MVP's were done and dusted, but then forgot that I still use a couple!

as usual great stuff. I wonder about you. I think you are some kind of genius.....

cheers

I was pleasantly surprised to see 500+ downloads. Dinosaurs are from extinct it seems.

I am too pleased to see that we may not be the dinosaurs! There is a new generation of soon to be dinosaurs!

For mvpmc that is a great count. Always knew that with you. I for one don't believe you get the credit when it counts.

For penny's worth did some updates on that page you gave:

http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Client.MVP
GB-PVR supported the Hauppauge MVP as a thin client. Loading a dongle.bin file.
With the release of NextPVR the MVP functionality became more limited due to the more advanced nature of NextPVR.
sub, the author of NextPVR gave limited (but functional options) to still use a Hauppauge MVP with NextPVR.
Basic functions were included but with the transition to .ts only files for LiveTV the MVP appeared to be a retro option.
Mvallevand, with sub's involvement, developed an alternative dongle.bin to load and play most of what NextPVR had to offer.

Hope you understand this stuff (read cr*p) is VERY hard to edit even when I use it!

v best
