Low priority feature request...
How feasible would it be to add a random all / jukebox button to the music playback options.
I use Musicbox 4 plugin on the PCs for the same thing, so don't know if you could piggyback off that somehow???

If you have all your music in a folder(plus one other empty folder or other music must have 2 folders) with sub folders under that (A,B,C.....) then press play on main folder it will play all in random

That won't work in nDroid as there's no "play" command other than touching a music file.

Yeah, that's doable and was probably on my low priority to-do list now I think about it.

I'd have to work out my own code as things like the nDroid Music 'view' are handled by the nDroid Service. Would something like a long-press on a folder that then creates a popup with a random play option be what you are looking for or do you have any other ideas?

No problem, I figured that. You did have me confused for a minute though as I couldn't remember coding anything like that. Big Grin

yeah that would be great.

While I think about it, other feature requests would be auto update the guide when opening ndroid (or at least a single button press, rather than menu option), and swipe left or right to change epg views.
thanks.

OK, I'll look into it although it won't make the next release. If I don't tie up the loose ends and get a new release out in the next few days I'll seriously lose the plot.

How about if it updates the guide automatically 30 minutes after the normal npvr EPG update (assuming the Android device has a network connection)? Or if the device doesn't have an active connection at that time it'll do it next time you enable a network connection? Wink

That's more complex and I've looked into it before. It'll have to wait until release of nDroid v2 which is a separate project.

I guess thats down to how its used. I use if fairly irregularly, so every time I start it up it's days old, so have to go through the menu option to refresh every time I start up. If it was 'always on' then the 30 min delay could also be useful.

PS I had no idea this existed in NPVR, so good find anyway!, although it's quite a lot slower to start than what ever code MB4 uses.

There are still menu options to manually download the data but I've moved all of the download logic to a background service . Even if you don't start/use nDroid it'll attempt to download and update the EPG data on a daily basis - the reason for the 30 minute delay is to allow for npvr to complete its daily automatic EPG update.
