Application Error

Been a few days since i had touch NEWA and i came today to modify my recurrent schedule and when i click on any show, i get

Code:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

I tried http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post450607 but i get the same problem. Im guessing this problem is also the reason Recurring Recordings in X-NEWA shows Unknown for Channels.

The X-NEWA problem might be another utf conversion problem likely unrelated. I checked using the db you uploaded and the all show fine here on 1.4.2 Maybe you need to hit the Refresh option to clean up the cache.

In Nextpvr i am able to edit recurring show list. In NEWA, i get the error message from any PC i try from. In X-NEWA , it was working fine till this problem appeared. Here is my Latest DB + the web.log after i try to edit recurring show via NEWA.

Your "unknown" errors look valid to me. It looks to me like you removed and re-added your channels without updating the recurring recordings so they point to non-existent channels.

Yes thats true i had to remove them to change the to a script to double blast to counter sleep mode of my Sa8300, would this be the reason i cant edit the recurring show via NEWA. how do i update them?

Are your recurring recordings actually recording without a match to a channel? I suspect not and that you will have to reschedule them.

If you bring up NEWA on the server you will get a detail error messge rather than the message shown in the first post. Also.... web.log may have info to look at as well.

Well i dont know as recordings start tonight. But taking into account your suggestion, i recreated the show, and now the update works...so i guess when re-adding channels, we have to redo all our show programming. Good to know for future. i dont know if the show would have recorded anyways even if the it didnt show the channel. Is there a way to avoid this if ever we need to re-add a channel?
