Next pvr help!

It usually is pretty straight forward, and there is lots of people here who are trying to help.

When it comes to EPG, NextPVR cant supply listings itself since these cost money, and require legal agreements with various companies. Instead, NextPVR provides support for common EPG data sources like XMLTV or Schedules Direct.

Tgere's a lot of help in the "Getting started" thread and in the wiki if you take the time to read it. I have yet to see a system of any kind that just installs itself and fullfills every wish without some configuring.
