When a USB device like a camera/camcorder is plugged in, is it possible to have a menu item to copy the pictures onto the HDD in a directory (named by a keyboard) in the pictures folder.

There are lots of config items associated with this like source drive that the camera is setup as and the details of the destination.

if windows creates a new drive when you plug the camera in, say H:\, then you can just add that to the virtual root, and browse it as a normal folder (im not sure if my pictures will have any safety precautions to see if the drive exists thou, it might, it mightnt, if it doesnt i can fix it).

and if windows doesnt add it as a drive, but say as a camera, then no its not possible. i just use a 7in 1 memory card reader, it adds the cards as new drives.

XP adds it as a drive. Would it be possible to provide a "copy" function so when I plug in the device the pictures are copied across and I can then delete them off the camera. Similarly with a card reader on the assumption it adds a drive.

nah i wont add copy to my pictures, i was going to create another plugin called "My Files" that does all this, but never got around to it.

I would like to add a vote for a "transfer image" button of some sort.  

What I woluld love to see is a configuable transfer that will scan a folder or drive for JPG, TIFF files and transfer them to a predefinded location, with a new subfolder based on date or a number or anything that increments.

Another comment.  I currently have My Pictures set up with all my memory card slots.  This works great unless I try to access a cardslot that does not have a card in it.  I get a message informing me the directory does not exist.  I click "OK" and I'm dumped back to the Main Menu.   Trouble is when I try to go back into My Pictures It's stuck on the non-existant directory.  I have to exit and restart GBPVR to fix it.  Is there a easy way around this?  (Besides not doing it in the first place)  

Oh, yeah, almost forgot.  I love this software.  and  I love this plugin.  GBPVR is one #### of a project.  I hope I can contribute!

yeah i thought this bug might be in there, ill fix it the next time i update it.
