How do I change channel polarity?

Hi,

I have been using NextPVR for years but lately I cannot record BBC Three.

I have noticed that on KingofSat, the frequency changed late last year:

BBC & Freesat & Sky Digital: New frequency for BBC Three: 10818.00MHz, pol.V (DVB-S SR:22000 FEC:5/6 SID:10351 PID:5400/5401 English,5402 English- Clear).

The polarity is listed as Vertical but when I go into my device settings, that frequency is listed as Horizontal.

How do I change this?

Just looked at mine and it is V.
These bits are in the ini files normally here:= c:\Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning\DVB-S\0282 FREESAT ONLY (28.2E).ini
you can manually change the 10818 entry from an H to a V with a normal text editor

My ini file has this entry:

8=10818,V,22000,56

but NPVR still displays as above.

Is there a way to get it to re-read the file?

Hmmm, maybe that value is displayed from the database of an early scan?. Possibly deleting the BBC3 entry and doing a rescan will find it again.
To play safe, I would backup the npvr.db3 database file first though. If you haven't done a scan for a while then you may get a lot of new entries, but if you untick them all except for the BBC3 one then that should be the only new one imported.

Yep, if you edit the ini files you definitely need to rescan.

I didn't edit the ini file, the entry was already there.

I deleted the BBC 3 entry and rescanned and it is tuning OK.

The only issue I have now is the channel is showing as No Show Details despite me updating the EPG...

Hmmm, just found out, TV Guide is fine, it's just TV Listings plugin which is showing No Show Details...

Hi bobster,

Sounds like you need to manually remap BBC 3 because you rescanned it. I've had a bit of practice because my cable company likes to change channel numbers. Go to Settings, click on Channels, select BBC 3 and click on Details (no need to Bulk Map). Set your Source (XMLTV I presume?), and once Mapping appears select the appropriate listing for BBC 3 and click OK. There's no need to Stop NPVR Service first. You should see Show Details after your next EPG update.

It's all OK, I added the TV Guide and the listings were OK and then when I went back to TV Listings and all was populated.
