No Audio or Video

I have HDHomeRun Prime with Verizon FIOS CableCard. No matter what I try for decoder or renderer, I just can't seem to get the audio and video to show up.

Windows Media Center and VLC can stream the Live TV successfully, but for some reason NextPVR is just not working.

I have attached the log files and I hope one of you guys can help me out with this issue. I am thinking it's network related but I don't even know where to even start with that. Sadly that's where my technical expertise have shortcomings.

My system is running Windows 7 Ultimate, with Windows Firewall and Windows Security Essentials, and GPU is NVidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti with NVidia driver version 9.18.13.1090.

My ultimate goal is to run NextPVR through my XBMC set up and also (may be) have LAN viewing and recording capabilities.

For HDHR Prime users this is almost always because the firewall software is getting in the way, and to fix you need to add firewall exclusions for NextPVR.exe and NRecord.exe.

If it's not that, the next most common thing is the audio and video decoders you have selected on the Settings->Decoders screen.

Can you help me configure the firewall settings? Is there a guide out there that I can follow? I am using Windows firewall.

I'm not using the Windows Firewall, but googling it indicates to go to the Windows Firewall app, click ''allow an app or feature through firewall', then click 'allow another app' button, then browse to add nextpvr.exe and nrecord.exe.

Steps may vary a bit if you're not running Win7/Win8 though.

I think NDigitalHost.exe must also be allowed through the firewall. Is the HDHomeRun Prime one of those devices that encodes output as H.264? If so, sub's ingenious Current Patch #2 might be needed. [Edit] Just read that Verizon is beginning a transition to H.264, so this might be needed soon in any case.

It doesn't hurt to add that too, but the HDHomeRun Prime doesn't need that executable. The original HDHomeRun does.

Thank you guys for helping me out with this.

The allowing those three processes in Windows Firewall did the trick. Also, I should add that I had to download the AC3Filter Decoder for getting the audio to work for FiOS channels. It's working with XBMC, also!

I am sorry for not confirming this sooner, I have had quite a busy week. Sadly, I still have EPG issue that I haven't been able to figure out yet.
