We've got a freeview weekend going on with a premium movie channel this weekend, so I've set to record a number of movies over the next few days. I was looking at the "What's New" listings and noticed something I found strange. There was one movie recording at the time that had the red "pending" dot on it, as well as a number of earlier movies, even though they had completed. There was one that was completed that had the half-green-half-red "in progress" dot, and one that had a green "completed" dot. Looking more closely, I realized that the one with the "in progress" designation had been recording when the EPG update is scheduled, and the "pending" ones were all after.

Is this how it is supposed to work, with the designations only changing with the EPG update?

Hi,

the status icons should be updated on the fly as soon as or short after the states of the corresponding recordings change in the database. If there was an epg update during that time, the update may get delayed since there's some logic to not query the database when there are a lot of consecutive changes - maybe there was an issue so that the plugin did not try again after the update was completed. Can you reproduce the problem, and if yes, can you please attach your logfiles so that I can have a look?

That might have been what happened - a lot of stuff was getting recorded, so it might have gotten blocked. I haven't noticed it happening since, so maybe it was just a quirk. If it happens again and I notice, I'll post more info/logs then.
