Curious problem this. I run two capture cards, a Nova-t and a Colossus. I get my TV guide from Digiguide. the Birtles grabber writes an XML file (from a Digiguide download). All the programmes I want are in the download. Then at 10.37 every morning NPVR updates its guide. All the channels that come through the Nova-T card get updated fine, but some reason the channels that come through the Colossus card on HDMI do not, except one one of them did once. (I can't repeat this behaviour). And the channel listing looks different between the Colossus channels (basically SKy and Eurosport) and the others. Against the NOVA-T channels it just references the XMLTV file, and says 2 sources but nothing in the source column. The Colossus channels also reference the XMLTV file, but say HDPVR in the source column (I attach a screenshot). Attached also are the logs of this mornings session. You can see that it thinks it finds the Sky channels, but they don't appear in the guide (attached a screen shot of the guide). Obviously I checked the XMLTV file and all the channels are there in full detail The only thing different about the Sky channels is that there a several weeks of listings instead of just two. Help!!!

If you right click on a channel and select Details in the Settings --> Channels screen (or click the Details button) you should see the Channel Details popup as shown here ... http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...n.Channels

The channel name in the Mapping field of the Channel Details popup is the name for the channel in the XMLTV file. The Mapping field is a dropdown list that should show you all of the channels found in your XMLTV file. It may be that your channels and channel mapping have become discombobulated.

Apologies if I have missed the point.

If you can zip and attach your xmltv file, and your npvr.db3 file, I'll check it out for you.

Graham

As near as I can see they are the same- don't think there are any hidden characters or spaces

Files attached - many thanks. The db3 file was too big for the forum. I had to brutalise it by deleting several megabytes from the end with editpad before zipping. Maybe this had made it useless. If so please send further instructions

Database file is naff. I use Dropbox for files that are too big for the forum. It's quick and easy and free. Other free cloud storage services are available. Reference to a product and service in this post is not a warranty that the product or service is suitable for any function. Normal terms and conditions apply.

I don't have a Colossus ... but ... a lack of "sources" seems wrong. I suspect that the Sky Sports channels have become disconnected from a tuner device. I would suggest that you delete the Sky Sports (etc) channels and re-do the tuner in the Devices tab.

Thanks Graham - that seems to have fixed it. Won't bother with the dropbox now
