X-Newa - for plex...possible?

Have you looked at plex channels? I'm assuming they're similar to xbmc plugins.

Since you can load the recordings into plex anyway and have them transcode I don't know if the full x-newa conversion would be necessary, but was thinking abuot it from a live tv perspective.

Is x-newa modular, ie teh nextpvr components in one class(es) and the xbmc drawing side in it's own?

I had a play with plex channels, but it's very hacky as I don't really know python...also not sure if you can tell the channel, oh btw the client can't handle this so transcode it via plex (rather than getting newa to do it).

All the functions to talk to NEWA/NextPVR are in a python file creating objects that should be portable and not integrated with the UI.

I'll have to have a toodle. Does the newa api give just a download link for a video? I'm assuming that's teh native setting as opposed to vlc you had in x-newa.

newa doesn't get involved with the direct by channel num/oid urls. You need it to start/stop transcoding and it passes back the url to vlc

Yes please X-Newa for Plex. I use Plex on all my clients. We really need this for plex.
