Archive function, making sure I haven't missed something

So, a few weeks ago we had a free-view weekend on a premium movie channel, and I recorded a bunch of movies. I wanted to move them out of the recordings list and have them listed in the Movies plug-in, so I used the Archive function to move them to another directory. It moved them fine, but left them in the Ready Recordings list.

I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something, and that the Archive function is really a "move to another location but keep just like the other recordings" function. And that the best thing to do what I want is move the files outside of NPVR.
