Live TV - audio but no video Win 7

I've installed NPVR for the first time under 64 bit windows 7 using Hauppauge 2250. Installation and channel selection went fine, however Live TV plays only sound - video is black. I've seen this on a few other posts (mostly XP), but none of the solutions have helped me. I've also installed the Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder for H.264 patch with no success. Any ideas? I've attached the NPVR.log

It'll come down to the MPEG2 video decoder you've got selected. Try a different one.

The logs show it trying to use ffdshow. You may be able to get this going by clicking the '...' button next to this decoder setting, and enabling MPEG2 decoding, and adding NextPVR.exe to the ffdshow application whitelist.

Or, just select the Microsoft DTV-DVD decoder for MPEG2. Should work fine in Win 7. We don't have h.264 TV in the US, AFAIK. All OTA is MPEG2.

Well, Cox Cable and Verizon FiOS use h.264 for certain premium channels. What I don't know is whether any tuner on the market can support those channels. Maybe an HDHomerun Prime with cablecard?

Using the Microsoft DTV-DVD decoder for MPEG2 solved the video display issue.
