It would be nice to put a quick recording option (of the program watching) in the right click menu. Then should be there another option how long the recording will take - 30min, 1hour, 2 hour, 3 hour, 4 hour. Simple and easy, no hassle with epg.

It kind of does with Ctrl-K/record button, unfortunately IMO one of NextPVR's biggest flaws is it only records from the current time and it does not save the timeshift buffer.

I think it's Ctrl-K actually. If you have EPG data it will record the current show, if you don't it will ask how long you want to record.
