No longer have access to shared NPVR data directory on XP server???

I have my NPVR server running on WinXP Pro . Just recently, I noticed that I can no longer access the shared folder that is setup for NPVR on that system. It's at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NPVR. I first noticed it a few weeks ago when I was unable to use NPVR from a client PC, because it could not access the npvr database on the share. This weekend we had a power outage and it did a hard reset on my MVP's and now none of them can reload the dongle.bin file. I'm thinking that the broken file share may be the culprit. I've disabled Windows Firewall on the server and turned off Avast for testing, but still no joy. I can access 5 other shared folders on the same system, just not the one for NPVR.

Did Microsoft perhaps break sharing that folder with one of their updates? I haven't been able to find out anything via google searches. Too many matches with people that can't access the application data folder locally. Is anyone else seeing this (or even still using XP as their server)?

The load of dongle.bin is not from a share it uses the tftp protocol.

Thanks Martin, that changed my train of thought just a bit. I reset my main data switch and now the MVP's load right up. The switch and the NPVR server are on UPS's, so they didn't shut down when the power glitched. But I suppose that one of them got confused by the MVP's going on and offline in rapid succession.

Any ideas on the Application Data folder share not being available? I just get "Windows cannot access \\PVR\npvr You do not have permission to access \\PVR\npvr. Contact your network administrator to request access." Not a very useful error, since I AM the network administrator. Besides, XP Pro doesn't give you many options when setting up network shares.
