I was wondering if anyone was having trouble getting TV Listings to display the Dolby indicators.

Let me rephrase. Can anyone help me get my Dolby indicator to show in TV Listings? The other extras (16:9, HD, New, etc.) all show up. I search for "dolby" in the TV GUIDE.XML file and it's in there many times. The dolby icon file is named both DOLBY.PNG and DOLBY DIGITAL.PNG. Can't figure it out.

Hi,

The plugin don't reads this kind of information from your xmltv file, it relies on the data in the npvr database here. In that case, it depends on the "audio" property of an epg event. You can verify this in the "EPG_EVENT" table of the npvr.db3 database using a SQLite database reader such as SQLiteSpy.

OK, I see that. But npvr.db3 gets it's in information for the audio property from the guide data, correct? So I'm assuming that my guide data is not accurate because there are only 60 programs (on non-hd channels that I never watch) that have Dolby. I know that's not correct.

In North America all digital channels send Dolby audio (AC3) for all shows. Not all are 5:1 but I don't see that info in guide data.

So does this mean I won't be able to get correct audio information in the guide? I have tried Schedules Direct and Microsoft using mc2xml. Neither lists accurate audio information.

This is a REALLY old post, but I have discovered that (using Schedules Direct) the dolby digital icon needs to be named "DD 5.1.png". My SQL skills are limited, but I finally got a select statement that displayed this from the database. I now see the Dolby Digital logo for the channels that have it.
