Video editing software for HE-AAC

I have used MPEG Streamclip to cut hunks out of my recordings for years but it just barfs on my recordings with NextPVR from DVB-T & I assume it's the HE-AAC audio that it doesn't like......, I have spent a couple of hours today trying to find something simple (& free) to do the same job MPEG Streamclip does but there was nothing I looked at that seemed to jump out & say it would do the job... does anyone have any recommendations??

I'm not sure exactly what you need it to do but I've used Freemake Video Converter often to convert my files quickly. But I've found VideoReDo worth the money I paid for it years ago as far as cutting and stripping.

Yep I know about VideoRedo as it is what I recommended my brother get as he does a lot of editing his recordings for archive purposes where as on a busy year I will cut the top & tail off maybe 15 to 20 videos in total & more likely less than half a dozen which is why I'm looking for a freebee program to do this.... all I am trying to do at the moment is grab two music video tracks out of an hour long recording which on more thought will most likely be ac3 audio from this channel & have the cut small videos in a format that will play natively within NextPVR on the NMT (not jump out to it's native player)

Are they h264? If so does this cutter work http://www.videohelp.com/tools/H264TS-Cutter I use it with h264/ac3

They are h264 & I have now confirmed they are HE-AAC, I don't know if that's the problem but H244TS-Cutter won't open it at all..... as I suspected before I started this thread I have now tried quite a few free editors & the vast majority won't even open the recording & the one that I have found that does (Avidemux 2.6 (32-bit)) will allow me to cut chunks out but after I do the audio is way out of sync & it gets more out of sync as the clip goes along ................ I'm about to give up I think.....
