More than one type of Media MVP

Just a quick question - I have a Media MVP but I see people talking about the 'Media MVP 1000'. Are there two different devices or is this just a naming convention, i.e., products are sometimes marketed with different names in different countries.

I think there is only the 1000. But there are different revisions of that one. Like D1, D2, E1 etc....
