IPTV Import Function

Hi Sub,

I'm having a little trouble with this, so I thought I'd better confirm it's meant to do what I think it does.

Am I right in thinking that I can use the import feature to bulk import channels?

If so, can I put them all in an M3U file, and use this to specify the stream address as well as the channel name?

Can I also use this to specify the channel number that the streams will be assigned in NPVR?

Can you give me some clues as to how the M3U should be formatted?

Also, NPVR seems to be expecting the M3U to be on the internet somewhere - can I point it to a location on the machine I'm using - I don't seem to be able to do so, but I probaly just don't know what the correct syntax is.

Just ignore the 'Import' button in the IPTV device settings screen. This can only be used for import udp streams, and wasn't updated to updated to support http etc in the recent release.

You'll need to use the 'Add' button to manually add each channel. As mentioned - it'll only accept 'transport stream' IPTV streams, using MPEG2 or H.264.

Ok, thanks. A bulk import capability would be good though - I've got quite a lot of channels that I'd like to import.

I'm have a Vu+ Solo2, and every channel is accessible via http. The test channel I added starts playing in 3 seconds, and that was HD, so the IPTV option seems to be a good way of using it as extra tuners for NPVR.
