Adding 'queue' option to schedule once tuner is free ?

I hate it. If my first show is on a low priority analog tuner I wouldn't want that for all prime time.

I presume sub would make that scheduling preference optional, for users like you who have multiple tuner types and want priority obeyed first; I believe a similar option in GB-PVR had a checkbox in the setup program. For most users where all tuners are equivalent, looking first for same-frequency opportunities, even on tuner types that can't multi-record, would yield better tuner allocation in almost all cases.

Clearly if it an new option that is okay. It is not only me a lot of people with non-multirec devices want padding on back-to-back recordings and that is currently not available.

Sorry for the hijack on this thread, but Martin:

I use the HD PVR like you. It seems like you're also using a QAM option for recording the sd feed, which I also do. Do you use the same NextPVR channel for the HD and SD feed, and if you have more shows scheduled to record on the HD channel, the lowest priority drops to the SD feed? I have the HD and SD feeds separate, and it causes me to schedule individual shows on conflicts to the SD channel, as I never considered using the same NPVR channel for both... Interesting option, even if you don't! (I have 2 x HD PVR, with 2 x OTA in HD, plus Hauppauge 950q for SD QAM, and still run into issues on a few nights with sports, wife and kids shows)

No unfortunately I cannot merge channels that is the wish being discussed in this wishlist item being discussed in this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post477551 No QAM here though but SD analog cable and from the DTA and in fact I do have the same Global channel if 4 places (5 if you include my HDHR)

On topic I don't want NextPVR to force back-to-back if a better tuner is available even if I lose padding ( I use 0 and 0 for padding anyway, our EPG data is good) if the wish is ever considered.
