Channel Numbers when Importing from Schedules Direct

I have been using Schedules Direct for years with NPVR but always importing it using mc2xml and XMLTV files. When this stopped working for me recently I decided to switch to using the built-in support for schedules direct in NPVR.

I deleted all of my channels and imported all the channels from my schedules direct lineup. This works great but my issue is that the logical channel number assigned does not match my satellite TV provider channel number when I import channels. My family is very used to using the channel numbers from the satellite tv provider so I would like the channel numbers to match in NPVR.

I know it is possible to change the logical channel number, but with > 700 channels in the lineup, this is very tedious and time consuming to do for each channel.

Is there any easy way to change the logical tv numbers to match the satellite tv provider number? Is it possible to tell the import to use the channel number from schedules direct?

Thanks!

Was this on an empty database? It should have default to the correct channel numbers (as long as there weren't channels already using those numbers)

If you can PM my the zipcode and lineup name, I'll try it here, and fix if necessary.

No, the database wasn't empty I also have an HDHomeRun I have been experimenting with, so that device is configured as well.

I will pm you my zip code and channel line up.

Is that using the same channels numbers?

I should have mentioned that I am using version 3.3.8 of NextPVR.

I should also mention that Schedules Direct deleted my lineup recently and they had to add it back...this is what Schedules Direct support said....

"There are issues with Canadian "global" lineups. It looks like I'm going to need to hard-code them. I should have it working soon. That's just adding lineups, lineups already there should be ok."

So, it is very possible the issue is with Schedules Direct and the way they added the lineup.

Yes, there is some overlap in channel numbers. The HDHomeRun only has 10 channels in the 600's. After the schedule direct channels were added it says the channel has "2 sources".

I sent you a PM to ask you to narrow down the lineup a bit more for me.

I picked one of the lineups, and it seems to have given me realistic looking channel numbers for 2-987. It might be worth temporarily trying with an empty database to see if it gives yu the channel numbers you're expecting. Next step after that would be me starting with your database, with HDHomeRun channels to see if I can reproduce the broken numbering.

PM sent with channel lineup info.

To get an empty database do I just delete all my configuration? Or do I backup & delete the database file?

The easiest is to just delete the npvr.db3, or rename it to something like npvr-backup.db3, then run the app and it'll create a new one.

I checked a few of the channels against the pdf you referenced, and it looks like I've pulled in the correct channel numbers.
