I searched around the Internet and found no answer to this. Is there an iOS client somewhere, which does live TV, watching recordings and setting recordings remotely?

No
but if your jail broken you can install xbmc
plex can watch recording ( I think the npvr channel for plex does live tv)
You can set recordings from web browser using NEWA
