trying to get SD for epg

I have been trying to get SD to handle my tv guid for over the air channels with out any luck I downloaded the patch but when I try to change to SD in channel epg source I keep getting the unhandled exception error.

Are you running Win7? If so several people have suggested that Aero needs to be enabled to make the changes.

Yes I also read that Aero needed or seemed to fix it
yes I am using windows 7
I didn't download all the patches for 3.8 just the one that I thought pertained to me! Should I download all of them and install I also had a hard time getting my comp to let me install the nshaire dill (I think that's what it was called ) I kept getting the error saying I didn't have permission to install it sheese (I am the administrator ) computers!

Remember to run the 'Stop NPVR Service' shortcut, otherwise NShared.dll is probably still in use, so wont let you replace it.
