Microsoft forced me to move off of Windows Media Center a few weeks ago when they changed their EPG provider (my zip code still has not been updated). It is a good move - NextPVR is great! Problem is that I cannot get my HD working. I am sure it is something simple, but I cannot figure it out.

I followed, what I believe, are all the set-up steps. Troubleshooting I have discovered that the WinTV and Hauppauge Capture program both get HD. I am stumped and frustrated. Attached are my logs.

What exactly is happening? You'll need to give more info.

Do you see your Colossus on the Settings->Devices screen? Have you added your channels? Have you selected an H.264 decoder on the Settings->Devices screen? Do you see a picture when you attempt to start live tv?

Whenever you get this in the logs the tuning usually hasn't finished, or sometimes the OSD between changes is SD

2015-07-29 22:54:38.944 [DEBUG][29] Device reports resolution(2): 0x0 (fps:0) (aspect:0) (progressive:0) (videoIdCode:0)

Since NRecords chooses SD default bitrates in<ModeSD/> even if the graph later to HD you need to change the default in config.xml for SD to your HD preference.

Thanks Martin for the quick response. Can you provide a little more of a walkthrough?

Edit the c:\users\public\npvr\config.xml, search for <ModeSD>, and increase the bitrate values.

Thanks again! It looks very promising. I moved it to 20Mbs from 3Mbs - I assume that is an acceptable range. I will do some more tinkering.

I also have some audio issues, but I will start a new thread for that. Much appreciated.
