Hello

For those of you using a HDHR Dual (QAM/ASTC) version, what setting are you using in the HDHR software? WIth the upgrade to windows I upgraded the firmware version from 04012015 to 08262015 and am experiencing difficulty with playback "quick advance" or fast forward at either 10 sec or 1 min intervals. I was recording under the default setting, should I be using the NextPVR setting instead?

Thanks!

What are you using for playback? As far as I know, that version of the software does not have a play component. Instead, it uses WMP or VLC to stream video. I'd suggest you check their settings.

I am using the NPVR software with FFDShow codecs for mpeg2. I tried LAV codec but that is even worse.

Many of us use SAF to install and configure decoders. Send Hoborg a forum private message and ask for the "unlocked" version to get the "best" decoders.

I had the same problem and the SAF did the job. Graham's statement is what I did and it fixed the problem.

Ok I was able to fix it.(I think) I was able to use a standard saf6.3.2 codec version but had to use a mixture of lav and ffdshow(?) to get it skip cleanly and quickly. I also switched the bda compatible to the default instead of the npvr setting on the hdhr setup tab. I am going to try a few recordings with the channel that was giving me grief earlier. I had started using kodi with npvr backend but there were pros and cons to that. Really like the all inclusive but don't like the pvr play back features. Thinking about xnewa but can't seem to figure out how to get it all setup.
