I suggest you run your PostUpdateEPG.bat file manually from the command prompt and figure out why it isn't running the -recurring function.

It does help to have the path in the PostUpdateEPG.bat :o

I'll set it up in the System Path, that should fix it.

As far as I can tell, at the time you scheduled that recording, your EPG_EVENT didn't contain the season/episode number (or it was scheduled before that NUtility.dll patch was installed). It doesn't matter if the EPG_EVENT table has got this info at recording time or not, it must have it at the time the recording was scheduled. A cached copy of the data is stored in the SCHEDULED_RECORDING.event_details, and this is what is checked for season/episode info.

Looks Like I'll have to delete scheduled recordings (without season/episode that should have it).
SCHEDULED_RECORDING.event_details looks like a view into another/same table and is used to build the xml that goes along with the prog eg Heroes Of The Enlightenment_20150910_15301630.xml

PostUpdateEPG.bat was called which then completed at 09:52:31.469, and was supposed to have called NextPVR.exe -recurring at the end to get all the recordings re-scheduled with the updated EPG data. But in NRecord.log there's no matching reload of the recording schedule at that time, therefore it didn't run. (yes, I'm a damned log analysis ninja)

Is there any use in running nextpvr.exe -recurring and nextpvr.exe -reload at the tail end of PostUpdateEpg.bat? If so what order should they run in?

only -recurring is needed... that includes the -reload. (I believe the -reload by itself would only ever be useful if you did something that inserted a scheduled recording directly into the database from outside of NPVR; that'd be the only way to make NRecord see that it was there.)

you don't need to manually reschedule any of your existing recurring recordings, that's what the -recurring function does. you'd only need to manually deal with any single recordings.
