I don't believe this is supported with NextPVR. I don't even think there's a PVR software available which supports it, so I think it would be a first for NextPVR if this functionality was implemented! MediaPortal say they can't implement it. My current PVR supports it and it's great.

With AR, the PVR fires up 15 minutes before the expected programme start time and looks for the start marker. When the marker arrives the recording starts, and ends when the marker for the next programme arrives. This allows for big (but not infinite) shifts in a programme time, say a live event is running late, if you are recording the live event the recording will be extended as long as required, or if you want to record a subsequent programme the recording will be delayed as long as required.

More details about it here:

TECHNICAL SPECS here on page 99:

I will be happy to donate again if this can be implemented. Thank you.

I would implement support for this if we had it here in NZ. It'd likely be too hard for me to implement this without direct access to live signals that use this.

Does freesat include the same thing?

Would a full MUX all-day recording uploaded somewhere (or shipped out to you on a HDD assuming it's gigs and gigs) be of any use?

No, not easily. I really need a live data source for this, since there is a relationship to the current shows in the EPG etc, and dealing with stale data would be very awkward.

Let me know if you would like remote access to my HTPC if that helps?
