Issues with NextPVR and RaspPi on Network

I have setup NextPVR on a Windows 10 machine as a server. I have enabled web server and kept the 8866 port and default username and password. Under the XBMC the access pin is at the default 0000 and also allows remote access.

When I am on my Windows 10 Machine (which is running NextPVR) i can access the web portal by going to https://localhost:8866

When I try to access the web portal on my MacBookPro by accessing the same address or https://127.0.0.1 it will not allow me.

I installed the NextPVR client on my OSMC Raspberry Pi Machine and entered the same credentials in the PlugIn settings and it cannot access the NextPVR server, so no go on TV on the Pi.

Any help or advice on the proper settings or setup for this to work with the Pi or even other machines?

You need to find your local IP for the network access From the command prompt type

ipconfig

On top of that to make it permanent you are going to either to need to create a static IP in Windows or configure your router to always use the same one.

The NextPVR web portal running on your windows 10 box can be referenced from your windows 10 box with either https://localhost:8866 or https://127.0.0.1:8866. localhost and 127.0.0.1 always resolves back to the local machine. In this case, when you run it on your MacBook, it resolves back to the MacBook, and fails because NextPVR is not running on your MacBook.

If you want to hit the NextPVR web interface from a different machine (i.e. your MacBook or rasppi), you need to identify the Network IP address of the machine that NextPVR is running on (in this case your windows 10 machine). It's this IP address that identifies your unique machine on your network. As Martin indicates, on your windows 10 box, open a command prompt and type ipconfig. In the output, you will see a line like below (in my case, my local machine):

You would construct your URL as: [url]https://192.168.10.229:8866[/url] where you would substitute your IP address...
