I have a very strange issue that I can't seem to figure out. I don't believe I've made any changes to my nextpvr setup in months. However, all of the sudden my recordings seemed to be failing to record. Newa shows them as available, however there are no files in my recording directory. After scratching my head, looking at logs and uninstalling/reinstalling I was giving up. Then I decided to go into newa and attempt to play one of these supposedly available recordings. They play through newa and vlc just fine. I just can't find them! Kodi can't find them either.

If I go into the video library of newa and navigate to the folder I picked to store recordings, they are magically all in there. Something screwy is going on. Here's what I've tried.

Uninstall/reinstall with full device setup and even created and used a new directory that I made through the nextpvr config screen.

Hidden and system files are shown and I'm using Windows 10.

I went through the support sticky and made sure I made all of the changes requested. Installed dx, disabled windows firewall completely, checked folder permissions.

Also, here is the contents of an m3u file minus my IP. not sure if it will help.

One last thing to add. If I record a show while inside of Kodi it will record and it will record to the correct directory where I can see it both in Windows and in Kodi under Recordings.

there are no recordings taking place in any of those logs, so I've nothing to observe nor ask.

I triggered 2 recordings yesterday. Shouldn't they be in those logs?

I initiated another recording through NEWA. It's showing In Progress. I don't really see anything in the logs to indicate that's true. I can PM you the IP for my nextpvr machine so you can dig through my NEWA setup if you like. I think it's gone rogue!

In the video library inside of Newa, this program I'm recording at the moment is listed. http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil...9884165307 So it's going somewhere, I just don't know where.

Sorry to keep spamming my own thread here. I totally uninstalled again. Removed the NPVR directories in both Program Files and Users\Public. I even removed all NPVR Recording Service entries in regedit. Rebooted and reinstalled.
Everything reset on the backend. However, NEWA still had history of my recordings and recording schedules. I'm convinced that NEWA is the issue as I can't seem to get rid of it. How do I remove it? I thought it was all saved in the \web directory but apparently that's not the case.

I got this sorted. My 8866 mapping was still pointing to a computer that I thought I had powered down. NO WONDER I COULDN'T GET RID OF NEWA!

All is resolved and I feel like a dummy.

I almost asked if you had another instance running when I saw you were running for the NPVR2 folder.

I had used that npvr2 folder when I reinstalled the first time. It was a rookie mistake having nextpvr installed on 2 machines and forgetting that.
