How do you update the TV Guide. It is set to do it automatically at 2:00 AM but many of the channels so not show any programs.

What EPG source are you using? There is no decent broadcast EPG in that part of the world. Most people in North America are using the Schedules Direct EPG.

All I know is that I am using the TV Guide that is in the settings of NextPVR. I was looking for a replacement for Windows Media Center that is no longer available in Windows 10. In my searching I ran across NextPVR, downloaded it and found that it works pretty good. But the TV Guide that is with it has the problem I mentioned. Let me just say this, I am an 80 year fellow who has a fair knowledge of computers, but am not a tech type person.

NextPVR will default to the DVB/ATSC broadcast EPG for digital channels. This is great in Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, but next to useless in North America, where they typically only transmit a few hours of listings. Most people in your part of the world end up getting a Schedules Direct subscription for their listings, which will give you 2-3 weeks of listings.

If you do get a Schedules Direct account, here is a video showing you how to set it up in NextPVR:

Thanks for this help. I am out of town for Christmas but when I get back I will try this. I had downloaded a TV guide from another source but didn't know how to get it in NextPVR. Maybe this video will help me do that. Also, when I first started this process, I download Kodi / XBMC and that is how I found out about NextPVR. But since downloadeing NextPVR it seems I can do what I want to do without using Kodi. In fact when I go to Kodi now, NextPVF shows it is enabled but I can find out how to use it with Kodi. So, as long as NextPVR works without Kodi, I will continue using it without Kodi.
Thanks again for your help. If you all celebrate Christmas over your way, have a very Merry Christmas.
