I currently use a Rii mini Wireless Keyboard for X-Newa on a RPi2. All OK so far for simple navigation, but I was hoping to get time skips forward or back. I tried <time> <Ctrl> <arrow> as per the http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...dReference but it does not seem to work.

I see here some references to a keymap.xml which should go in the /storage/.kodi/userdata/keymaps on the Raspberry Pi (openElec). The syntax is here http://kodi.wiki/view/Keymap

Is this keymap.xml file something I need to make skips work?

I also see reference to a remote.xml file? If not keymap.xml, is it this I should be using?

If so does someone have a keymap.xml or a remote.xml file that can let me issue time skips commands form the keyboard?

Thanks!

k.

I didn't implement that in web client, just don't use the control and note that time is hmmss so 8 minutes is 800 not 480. The Kodi wiki is well done Here are all the keys with lots of seeking http://kodi.wiki/view/Keyboard explanation, using the Rii you will have more choices than the IR. Here is another helpful link http://kodi.wiki/view/Seek_step. To tell you the truth I still don't use additive seek,

Hi Martin,

Thanks for that, sorry I got a little lost though. So is this correct:

1. Use <time in 100s> <arrow> e.g. 200 rightarrow = 2 mins forward?
2. I downloaded keyboard.xml and remote.xml. Do I need them at all, one or both?
3. If yes to (2) put them where the wiki says, in /storage/.kodi/userdata/keymaps forthe Raspberry Pi (openElec)?

Yes, but it's not in 100s it is hmmss

For 2 & 3 I don't support Kodi in general but I trust the official wikis.
