I have built a PVR using the VIA M10000 motherboard. This motherboard has hardware MPEG player. How can I configure GBPVR to use this as it is not using the MPEG accelerator on the motherboard. GBPVR does not appear to be aware of it.. Just an observation, Windows XP boots up in ten seconds Flat on this motherboard.

Also can GBPVR use the Twinhan remote control. If so, how?

Thanks in advance

No.

You have to be using an MPEG2 decoder that is able to use the Via MPEG accellerator hardware. From memory the Cyberlink MPEG decoder shipped with PowerDVD5 does this.

How would you notice that it's using the accelerator or not? I also have this board... *curious* Cool

On my M10000 the difference between hardware assisted decoded verses software assisted decoding is fragrant. Check your CPU utilisation!

Decoding is now working fine especially after installing powerdvd as advised by sub. I did have problems with freezing in fast action sequences. I found the answer on http://www.mini-itx.com/reviews/xcard/

Thanks
