That type of app isn't that common because they typically rely on pirate IPTV streams, which are notoriously unreliable, with channels typically only being active for a few days before they get shutdown and you have to find other sources. ie, you need to do continous maintenance to keep things functioning, and no where near reliable enough to do stuff like season recordings etc (since channel will probably be gone by next week's show).
