Periodically, my provider will offer a free preview weekend of one or more of the premier channels, like HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, etc.
So, I add them to my line up on the SchedulesDirect web site, update my EPG to get them in the my XML file, import them to the appropriate device (HDPVR for HBO & Cinemax, Ceton tuners for the others) and update the EPG again. At this point, I can schedule & record to my hearts content.
Then, the weekend comes to a close. I remove the channels from my SchdulesDirect line-up on their web site. At this point, should I delete the channels from the settings for the device(s) in the Device tab or from the Channels tab? Does it matter?
Note, as indicated in my sig below, I use mc2xml to create an XML from the data on ScheduleDirect since I pre-process it before feeding it to NPVR.
